Achieving Information Interoperability for Satellite Communication Control Systems

The Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Operations Control System (DOCS) supports Department of Defense (DoD) communication users of Super High Frequency (SHF) satellites. The DOCS, a mature system, consists of stovepiped subsystems with minimal electronic interoperability. The Objective DSCS Operations Center (ODOC) program has been established to upgrade the DOCS using state-of-theart technologies, to improve subsystem interoperability and reuse, and to provide interoperability with external systems.
